Katie qualified as a Speech and Language Therapist from University College London (UCL) in 2013. She has worked for two NHS trusts in London since this time, across mainstream primary and secondary schools, specialist units, early years settings, and community clinics with children and young people who stammer up to the age of 19 years. Katie’s special interest area is working with children and young people with Autism and those who stammer. She is particularly interested in the strong link between communication difficulties and the impact on social emotional mental health and is embarking on further studies in this area. Katie believes strongly in working in collaboration with parents, school and teachers to have the biggest impact for the child/young person.
