Marjolein (Mar) graduated as a Speech & Language Therapist from City University, London. Mar has worked across a range of settings including primary and secondary schools, additionally resourced provisions, and in a specialist ASD school.

Mar has experience with a variety of therapeutic interventions, and in training teachers and teaching assistants on Speech Language and Communication Needs, and ensures work is appropriately differentiated for children in the classroom. She works closely with families and other professionals to meet each child/young person’s specific need(s) ensuring evidenced based practice. Mar is the DLD lead at WLSLT, as this is an area of special interest. Mar also has two children (aged 20 and 15).Mar joined WLSLT in 2020.
