Amira qualified as a Speech and Language Therapist from the University of Reading and joined the WLSLT team in September 2021. She has worked predominantly in mainstream primary schools, supporting children with a range of speech, language, and communication needs.

Amira’s areas of interest include speech sounds and phonology, Developmental Language Disorder (DLD), and bilingualism. In her practice, she aims to work in a way that is responsive to each child’s individual interests and communication style, supporting them to develop skills in ways that feel meaningful and comfortable to them.
