Ella works across mainstream primary and secondary schools and has experience supporting children with a diverse range of speech, language and communication needs, including Gestalt Language Processing, Developmental Language Disorder, Autism, Selective Mutism and Stammer.
Ella has an interest in the relationship between communication differences and social, emotional and mental health and is mindful of how speech and language needs can affect self esteem, peer relationships and emotional wellbeing, especially as academic and social demands increase with age.
Ella is passionate about neurodiversity affirming therapy, focusing on individual strengths and following a child/young person-led approach to intervention that values the individual’s preferences and goals. She also enjoys supporting students as they prepare for key transitions, including further education, university or employment, and works collaboratively with families and school staff to help young people feel confident and supported in their next steps.
